Ventilators: The Importance of Preventative Maintenance
MedWrench recently spoke with Tenacore’s Biomedical Engineer, Charlie Pak, about the importance of preventative maintenance for ventilators.
Tenacore shares the importance of keeping ventilators working properly, basic steps to follow for preventative maintenance, and how this preventative maintenance will save costs for health care facilities. Why is it vital to perform preventative maintenance on ventilators?
It is vital to perform preventative maintenance on ventilators because a ventilator supplies a patient with oxygen when they are unable to breathe on their own. If the equipment is not properly maintained, it could lead to more costly repairs and more importantly, it could affect a patient’s ability to breathe.
